JOB TITLE: Marketing Student Placement

DEPARTMENT: Marketing (Communications)

REPORTS TO: Marketing Executive & Senior Marketing Executive  

LINE RESPONSIBILITY: Assisting the marketing team with creative campaigns, branding, photography and ad hoc requirements.  

The BFC is looking for an enthusiastic student placement to support the Marketing Department. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Supporting the team by maintaining working project plans and asset timelines
  • Updating critical paths and schedules   
  • Collating content, approvals and artworking via email and telephone   
  • Proof reading and cross checking   
  • Creating presentations for internal and external use   
  • Distributing official logo artworks and brand guidelines to third parties, ensuring best use 
  • Organising photography schedules and archiving   
  • Requesting and managing photographer accreditation for access to catwalk shows   
  • Monitoring printed collateral and maintaining stock levels during events   
  • General office admin - booking couriers, mail merges, filing content on the server etc.   

PERSONAL SPECIFICATION  

  • Strong communicator, both verbally and in written form   
  • Organised, calm and employs a methodical approach to work in a busy, high- pressure environment   
  • Well presented, self-motivated and takes initiative   
  • Enthusiastic with an eye for detail   
  • Maintains a positive attitude and develops strong working relationships with colleagues and clients 
  • Computer literate including Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint & Word)
  • Adobe (Photoshop, InDesign & Illustrator) skills also preferable

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Job type: Internship to meet university work placement requirements of up to 1 year, commencing July 2016
  • Salary: National Minimum Wage
  • 28 days annual holiday including Bank Holidays
  • Standard company working hours, flexibility required during events, exhibitions, etc.
  • Confirmation of internship subject to successful completion of a 1 month probationary period
