The BFC Fash/On Film initiative, sponsored by River Island, aims to develop relationships between fashion designers and film makers and recognises the on-going development of fashion film as an important medium in the industry. Fash/On Film’s main objective is to encourage, promote and stimulate the growth of designers and brands using film as a means of showcasing, thus strengthening London’s position as a leader in this field. Fash/On Film offers designers and emerging filmmakers support through financial support, mentorship scheme and showcasing opportunities.
There are three main areas of support that Fash/On Film offers.
Mentoring Scheme for directors
The BFC Fash/On Film Mentoring Scheme invites up and coming directors to submit film ideas in response to a brief set by a leading London based Fashion Designer and the British Fashion Council. The production is fully funded by Fash/On Film with production support from White Lodge.
If you are a director wishing to apply for this opportunity please read the instructions and criteria here.
Funding for designers
The BFC Fash/On Film Fund gives designers the opportunity to apply for financial support towards creating a film for their up and coming collection. Fash/On Film will also support the distribution and showcase of the film once produced.
