International Fashion Showcase 2012 United States Showroom

Parsons The New School of Design, New York, visits the Benjamin FranklinHouse –the world’s only remaining Franklin residence – in order to showcase the work of the recently launched Masters of Fine Arts in Fashion Design and Society (MFA) program.
Parsons carries on its tradition of innovative fashion education with this new programme, initiated with the support of Parsons alumna Donna Karan, and led by the inaugural Donna Karan Professor of Fashion and MFA Program Director, Shelley Fox. The programme will be presenting its first graduate students in fashion design in May 2012 in New York. The showcase presents the work of 10 designers
from projects such as the Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty Graduate Competition in collaboration with The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York and the Feel the Yarn Competition to be held at Pitti Filati, Florence in July 2012.
